..Godzilla is Japan's greatest export as I can watch him glory stomp the holy piss out of Tokyo for hours on end. That's the greatest disappoint w/ Godzilla films is the big guy just doesn't get enough screen time. He's a gigantic star & he should be filling every frame of film. It's unfortunate that a wrap around plot has to be established. Why can't it all be about Godzilla having a bad day. I guess not as humanity must destroy Godzilla. Witnessing Godzilla descend into a volcano is one of the most heart breaking experiences of my life. Raymond Burr is brought back for another Godzilla outing but is upstaged by all the Dr Pepper product placement. If I were the casting director of Godzilla 1985 I wouldn't have used Burr but cast David Naughton...now that would have been a stroke of utter fucking brilliance
