..It has far gotten beyond the point that any reimaging or remake is going to be dire & I'm being nice here. If there was ever a movie that didn't really need to be remade it's Ghostbusters. The original was such a surprise megahit that lightning couldn't strike twice w/ a new generation. Even if that generation were women. 2016 was the year of the women (@ least there was a women's revolution in wrestling). Now I've not overly a fan of the original 1984 'classic' but I can't help but be overwhelmed by that fantastic Ray Parker Jr theme. For how much I think this Ghostbuster reboot is a step down from 1984 version the 84 version is really a step down from the 1975 TV show. They had a gorilla busting ghosts...now that's fucking awesome
